About The Role

The Senior Engineering Program Manager, Infrastructure Services works within our world-class Services Engineering team to deliver extraordinary services and experiences for our customers. You will be responsible for creating project plans and releasing timelines for infrastructure needs and dependencies to support new and never-before imagined products. You will drive cross-functional collaboration across Humane to meet business goals and delivery schedules, including the opportunity to work closely with engineers to set strategy and drive execution, along with being technical thought partners and bringing experiences shipping large scale distributed cloud infrastructure projects. You will also manage risk and contingency plans and communicate team progress to leadership.

What You Might Do

  • Participate in interdisciplinary discussions between Software, Product Management, and Design to define project requirements and build project schedules
  • Work closely with the software engineering team throughout the product development life cycle to identify and resolve risks in the overall software schedule
  • Collaborate with Experience Design teams to ensure a plan of record aligned with the overall product vision
  • Participate in fiscal planning, forecasting, resourcing and budgeting for a hyper growth team
  • Generate reports to keep the entire team aware of project deliverables and resource prioritization
  • Utilize developer productivity tools and coordinate software updates 
  • Manage external vendors and accurately identify project risks and dependencies  
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration amongst cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Be thought partners for the engineering team on strategies to develop robust, resilient, scalable infrastructure, beyond what the feature needs are.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management for software development, information systems, network security practices, cloud infrastructure environments
  • Well versed in modern cloud technologies and services (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Directly managed the software development cycles for an enterprise-level services or infrastructure team for 2+ years
  • Experience managing external vendors and accurately identify project risks and dependencies  
  • Proven track record for understanding and communicating technical/engineering issues

Preferred Skills

  • You are a consensus builder, diplomat, and influencer within a software organization
  • You have experience building mission-critical software products and services, ideally customer-facing
  • You have experience with the unique challenges and opportunities of software development of internet services
  • You may have experience with a cloud native approach to development, testing and deployment
  • You are excited by the opportunity and responsibility to collaborate with teams across a full stack from user interface to low level systems
  • You enjoy working in a rapid development environment, remaining flexible and thriving in the face of ambiguity
  • You are passionate, inspired and creative
  • You are familiar with multiple product and project development disciplines, methodologies and dependencies and how they interact
  • You may be familiar with machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • You have a desire to work in a collaborative environment where honesty and accountability are paramount
  • You are able to drive tasks independently and escalate and communicate issues and needs clearly
  • You love complexity, managing fast-changing moving parts, and hard problems to solve.
  • You value adherence to dates and timelines on a personal level

Salary range: $185,000 - $235,000

  • The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills
