About The Role

The Senior Operations Program Manager (OPM) is the primary Operations interface to the product development teams and other functional organizations within Humane. In this role, you will be responsible for NPI process execution including prototype and pilot builds at our contract manufacturer and partner factories. Additionally, you will own sustaining production issues related to our products such as line stops and quality issues.

What You Might Do

  • Drive ramp readiness with Engineering, Operations and our JDM teams
  • Lead capacity modeling with input from Factory TPM and Manufacturing 
  • Work with GSM, Manufacturing and Factory TPM teams to procure equipment and fixtures to support ramp
  • Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate risk and status updates clearly and succinctly to management, calling out key issues and presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional executive team through new product reviews, weekly exec meetings and other executive forums
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering teams to implement change orders and disposition materials at distribution centers, factories and sub-tier suppliers
  • Liaise across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure product cost, manufacturability, reliability, product quality, safety and compliance, and delivery commitments are met
  • Be accountable for end to end manufacturing operations at suppliers to execute development builds per schedule, leading up to ramp and into mass production
  • Establish the appropriate engagement model and define roles and responsibilities between supplier and internal cross-functional teams
  • Drive supplier readiness activities to execute development builds leading up to ramp; with particular focus on defining capacity and CAPEX requirements
  • Author and review SOPs, BOMs, process guidelines and other Ops related process documentation
  • Engage with Product Management and Engineering teams to drive Ops requirements into development of products
  • Up to 20% travel may be required

 Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • 7+ years experience managing supplier technical operations in consumer electronics industry
  • Technical understanding of product design specifications and BOM structures
  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain, and/or product development
  • Ability to wear multiple “hats” and flexibility to fill gaps in roles and responsibilities of the organization as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management
  • Data-driven problem solving skills to address multi-dimensional problems with high levels of uncertainty across multiple functional teams
  • Ability to lead global cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Results oriented and attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree or MBA
  • Experience with high volume consumer products
