About The Role

As an RF Factory Test Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and managing delivery of key RF test fixtures deployed on the manufacturing lines to build Humane’s products. This role is technical and will require hands-on debugging and traditional manufacturing test development, as well as strong delegation and project management skills. You will liaise between Humane’s RF, EE, Manufacturing, PD and PM teams, remote factory test teams, and 3rd-party fixture developers to deliver, bring-up and buy-off test fixtures. 

What You Might Do

  • Oversee development of RF factory calibration and test fixtures for PCBAs, subassemblies, and finished goods 
  • Take responsibility for remote teams working on RF tester development and supporting test software
  • Own RF fixture bring-up, debug, statistical data analysis (GR&R, Cp/Cpk, correlation), and consistency analysis in factory environment 
  • Verify proper RF test coverage across product roadmap  
  • Create test reports to present cross-functionally and to leadership team
  • Advise teams internally on DFT best practices
  • Collaborate with all cross-functional teams (software, electrical, program management, operations, etc.) to deliver a successful product to market

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a high volume RF Manufacturing Test position, preferably in the consumer electronics space
  • Expertise in designing high-throughput conducted and OTA RF test systems for many wireless communication technologies
  • Deep knowledge of RF fundamentals and metrics relevant to consumer electronics products, including: EVM, frequency error, transmitted power, spectral mask, RSSI, sensitivity, PER, etc.
  • Solid understanding of statistical data analysis techniques and the ability to apply them practically to large data sets
  • Experience managing overseas CMs/JDMs to design and manufacture products
  • Experience analyzing and visualizing large datasets using tools like JMP, Minitab, MATLAB or similar
  • Competence in scripting languages (e.g. Python) and in writing and debugging RF automation scripts
  • Experience working with and specifying critical RF lab and test equipment for hands-on testing of electrical products
  • Experience leading remote debug and FA of RF test issues
  • Ability to travel internationally to factories to support builds

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to speak Mandarin a plus
  • Some knowledge of basic database languages (e.g. SQL)
