About The Role

Humane is looking for a Senior Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to join our innovative software engineering team to strategically drive new product development schedules while helping the organization reach its overarching business goals. By executing and overseeing multiple related projects across multiple platforms, a Senior EPM will provide the oversight necessary to support project-level activities as well as the decision-making capacity to align goals across the program. The Senior EPM achieves this by being highly collaborative, very detail-oriented, insightful, driven to manage project risk and always “closing the loop.”

What You Might Do

  • Build, maintain and scale the Software Program Management process for a hyper growth team
  • Participate in interdisciplinary discussions between SW, HW, ID, Product Management, User Experience Design and external teams to define project requirements and build project schedules
  • Work closely with the software engineering team throughout the product development life cycle to drive dependencies and identify and resolve risks in the overall software schedule
  • Collaborate with experience and product design teams to ensure plan of record and schedule alignment with the overall product vision
  • Translate complex technical issues into actionable paths for the team
  • Write user stories, process documentation, workflows, standards and methodologies 
  • Define, build and maintain tools and generate reports to keep the entire team aware of project deliverables and overall schedule
  • Track equipment utilization and coordinate customer seeding
  • Manage external vendors and communications to the larger team and leadership

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management or software development
  • Directly managed the software development lifecycle from concept to delivery for 4+ products or 2+ years of release cycles
  • Proven track record for removing ambiguity and delivering clarity
