About The Role

As a Camera Validation & Image Quality Engineer at Humane you will work on camera system level characterization, calibration and provide manufacturing test support. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and analyze sensor and ISP problems and partner with vendors/JDM to debug manufacturing issues using system level tools.

What You Might Do

  • Define detailed technical requirements and metrics for image quality and test methodologies
  • Support algorithm and tuning team through iterative testing
  • Perform lab tests for objective camera evaluation and benchmark testing
  • Capture images and conduct subjective image quality analysis
  • Fine tune ISP and sensor parameters to enhance and guarantee image quality  
  • Design and support production line testing setups

Essential Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of image quality metrics and evaluation methodology
  • Familiarity with camera components and functions

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building consumer products
  • Familiarity with multiple product and project development disciplines and dependencies and how they interact
  • Ability to drive tasks independently and escalate and communicate issues and needs clearly
